When purchasing a replacement Beam vacuum hose, it is critical to match it to the inlet as well as wand and cleaning attachment. Direct connect hoses can only be used in electrified inlets. All other hose types are compatible with all Beam inlets. The handle end can have button-lock or friction connection, a switch to control the vacuum and power head, and a high voltage receptacle. Over the years, Beam has used a variety of electric powerhead and wand configurations. For some of these, an adaptor or new wand is required to connect to hoses that are currently available.

In many instances, a universal hose may be a better alternative to the genuine Beam hose due to availability, better warranty or lower price. Please call our friendly experts with any questions concerning replacement of your Beam central vac hose.

Hose Type Examples

Standard Hose

Has continuous metal band on inlet end and no switch on hose handle..
Electric Hose w/PigTail

Has 8 ft electric cord extending from the inlet end and 3-way switch on hose handle.
Electric Hose w/Direct Connect

Has 2 prongs that are 3/8" long and 5/16" apart on inlet end that plug into 120 volt receptacle on inlet. Has 3-way switch on hose handle
Low Voltage Hose

Has split metal band on inlet end and switch on hose handle.
