  Is this unit have CD recorder capability?

  A:

  This system has an iPod/MP3 function that allows devices to be played and charged.  There is also a Bluetooth feature that can allow a smart phone or electronic device to stream music wireless.  There is an RCA function that allows the capability of installing a stand alone CD player at a separate location.

  Do you have certified installers?

  A:

  We distribute product all over the US at a low price.  We recommend a local electrician or handyman that the customer is comfortable with to do the install.  Some customers install the units themselves too.

  Does this unit work with the existing Nutone speakers we have throughout the house?

  A:

  This system nor any new system will work with you current existing stations.  These systems require a full upgrade including all room, patio, and door stations.  We have basic Intrasonic RETRO system packages and can also customize them if needed.

• Q:

  I have an old Im 4006 system and am just looking to update the master unit. I want to be able to play MP3 on it. I am not interested in updating all my other room speakers or running new wiring. Do you have something like this that would work?

  A:

  Potential replacements for the Nutone IM4006 are the Nutone NM200, M&S DMC1 and Intrasonic RETRO.  All of these are capable of playing music on an MP3 player.  However, all will require that you replace your speakers.  Your existing wire can be used.  There are no current master units that will work with your existing speakers.

• Q:

  I have a I1000 main. Was looking to update just the main ad not all other speakers. Would this work for that? Could I also up grade the door speaker with the camera and it be compatible with either this or my current main?

  A:

  The model that works with the I1000 room stations is the I2000 by Intrasonic.  There is also a new Bluetooth receiver that you can use to stream music from things like Pandora from a smartphone or tablet.

  I don’t have a patio station but I have speakers with two wires in my patio connected to my old Nutone 3 wire system (for music and one way talk from master unit) Will I be able to still use them with the Retro-M system and How?

  A:

  Generally no.  In order for a satellite speaker to work with the Intrasonic system, it needs to be intercepted by a volume control or room station.  The outside speakers recommended for the Intrasonic system is the  cube speaker.  You can technically intercept the 2-wire for the speaker just before it goes into the master.  You can then run a 3-wire from the volume control to the master.  If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to call.

• Q:

  Hello, I have a burins model 4406 is there anything I can upgrade To something newer that I can change the master unit first then change speaker/ intercom for the rooms later? Or do I need to change everything? Will the wires work?

  A:

  All of the wiring will stay in place and work.  All rooms, doors, patios, etc.  will need to be changed with the master.  We set up kits that can be customized, but this gets you started.

  Does this system have an am/fm reciever That I may be able to listen to local radio and then with the blue tooth ad on able to listen to personal music or podcasts from my phone

  A:

  Yes, you will be able to stream from your phone, Ipad or other device with the Blue tooth ad on.  If you are replacing an M&S or NuTone system it requires a full upgrade including all room, patio, and door stations.  We have basic Intrasonic RETRO system packages and can also customize them if needed.

• Q:

  Is there a way to hook up the front door station so it plays music as well? Our old Nutone did this.

  A:

  You cannot get a door station to play music and do doorbell together with this system.  The only way to get music by the front is to have a separate speaker out there.  Depending upon wires, you may be able to use some of the door station wires.
