The Bluetooth Receiver is a multi-use adaptor that can be used with any Intrasonic Music/Intercom System. It can also be used with M&S DMC1 and DMC3-4 Intercom systems that have the DMCMP3 CD/MP Player. Use it to stream your favorite MP3 music files, Pandora, iHeart Radio or iTunes throughout your home from your Bluetooth enabled device.

The BT-Receiver Bluetooth Receiver comes complete with USB cable, 3.5 mm plug to connect Personal Music Players and optional Adaptor plug.  To use, simply plug in the USB cable to the Bluetooth device and into the USB slot.  Plug the 3.5 mm audio cable from the Bluetooth device to the jack. A little light will illuminate on the receiver to let you know it is on.  Master should be in Aux. mode.  Choose one device - you can pair your phone, tablet, laptop or any Bluetooth device with BT-Receiver.  Pairing the device is done much the same way as pairing your phone to your vehicle.  Search for the device labeled "IST".  The Adaptor plug is an optional way to power the BT-Receiver, but it still requires that the 3.5 mm cable be plugged into jack.

    i have a retro intercom from you. If I plug this in with the usb 2 port will I have to use the power cord?

    A:

    You would not have to use the power supply, the USB would power the Bluetooth receiver and the auxiliary cable would transfer the music/data.

    Not easily, it needs 120V power to be plugged into or USB.

    Where / how is the bluetooth adapter attached or mounted to the master wall unit ? My wall unit is in a hallway with no counter underneath, and I'm wondering how it will look and function.

    The Bluetooth Receiver fits in the door on the left hand side of the master station of either the RETRO system or the I2000 system.

    What is power consumption of the BT receiver? Intercom USB says 300 ma max; power supply that came with the unit says 700 ma. IS 300 ma aufficient?

    A:

    The USB on the back of the master is sufficient.  The wall wart that comes with the BT is not needed.

    Any speakers have to be hard wired to a room station, patio statiom, or a volume control.

    You need to have the ability to power it up and adapt to RCA jacks.  Is it possible, yes.  Is it easy to do, not really.

Works well with the intercom system. But why not just built into the intercom system itself?
