  Do you have replacement kit for Broan music intercom system Model #K1880?

  A:

  Broan systems were typically made by M&S.  These systems are generally a 4-wire system.  It is important to check the number of wires going to each station before ordering a replacement system.  Systems typically run off of 3, 4, or 6 wires.  Please check and match it to the perspective replacement system.  Intrasonic intercoms can  run off any type of wiring as long as it is 3 or more to each door/room/patio station.

  This is the correct replacement model from the Nutone 4000 series intercom systems.

  I want to replace nutone 2540

  A:

  To determine potential replacements for this model, you first have to determine how the system was wired.  It could have been done in one of two ways:  home runs, meaning that a dedicated cable was run from each speaker back to the master or; looped, meaning that a cable was from the the master to a speaker, then on to another speaker, etc.  We will also need to know how many inside speakers, door speakers and patio speakers that you have, as well as the height and width of them.

  I have a old model im-3303. Just need to know what replacing systems I should purchase?

  A:

  The IM-3303 is a 3 wire system.  This system requires a NM100 complete kit or an Intrasonic RETRO system.  Both of these work off of a 3 wire installation.  It is designed to replace current room stations that are approximately 6"w x 8"h.  It is also designed to replace door stations that are approx 5"w x 6"h, have a doorbell that ring throughout the system, and protrude from the wall approximately a 1/2".  Please feel free to call with any questions.

  What is the replacement unit for replacing a Nutone IM 2003?

  A:

  Depending upon wiring that is place for the door station, it is possible to use the Intrasonic RETRO system.  This is a full system replacement less the wiring.  Whether you replace the system with a Nutone or other model, all existing room, door, patio and mater station would need to be replaced,  The other option for a replacement system would be a Nutone NM100 system.  These are basic kits that we put together and can be customized to fit the customers needs.

  I see NM 200 is the right replacement for IMA 4006 series. My door bell is connected to the 4006 unit. Does NM also has the same provision and does the internal (hard) wiring system remains unchanged for the Main station and the 4 speakers I have. Thanks

  A:

  The NM200 Kit is the correct replacement for the IM4000 series intercom systems.  All wiring does stay the same and the doorbell on the door speaker is designed to ring throughout the intercom system.  Another option to replace the IM4000 series intercom systems is the Intrasonic RETRO system which has optional Bluetooth features.

• Q:

  I currently have Nutone Radio-Intercom System Model IMA-4006 series. I have 2 outside ceiling speakers that are not working, a front door bell intercom that is not working. Can I buy relacement parts for these two items

  A:

  The speaker system in the IMA-4406 system is a 25oHm speaker.  The only thing that can really be replaced is the front door station which will need a frame or new surface box.  Please see the description of the door station.  The patio ceiling speakers cannot be replaced with an exact replacement.  If these needed to be replaced, the system would required updating which we can help with.

  What does the NM200kit contain? And what is the difference between the NM 200 kit and the Intrasonic Retro system?

  A:

  The NM200K kit is designed for new construction only.  There is not a master housing or rough-in materials for installation.  The Intrasonic RETRO system is designed to replace an existing intercom system and update the room, master, and door stations with trim plates so there is no drywall repair.  If this was for new construction, the intrasonic I2000 system would be best.

  Does your system play cd’s?

  A:

  Nutone no longer offer's CD players to work with their systems.  If there is a counter top nearby, you may be able to do a stand alone CD player.
