    Can this replace an existing NUtone system

    A:

    It is better to go with the Intrasonic RETRO package.  The I2000 system is meant for new construction only.

    Is this a wireless system

    A:

    Hi,This is not a wireless system.  It uses CAT5 wiring.  Room stations and door speaker mounts in a standard two gang box.

    when you say it is not wireless do i need to connect the boxes thru walls or just connect each box to power souce. each box will be next to wall switch

    Each room station requires Cat5 to be run from the room, door, or patio station back to the master station.  The master station is the only item that requires 120V.

    for I2000 intercom, Is this system meant to work with the I600 audio amp to get stereo sound in up to 4 primary rooms?

    A:

    The I600 audio amp is not compatible with the I2000 intercom system.  While the I2000 allows you to install two music speakers in a room, the sound is not stereo.  If you want stereo, the I600 provides this.  It is a music only system.  There is no intercom or doorbell functions.

    I would like to connect the intercom to a detached shop I calculate with bends and up walls ect... 350 to 375 feet and would have to be direct bury Cat5 cable, do you have any options to make this work?

    A:

    The maximum wire run from a speaker to the master is 300 feet.  There is no work around that will allow you to exceed this.

    My house internet is being wired with Cat6 wire, Is that ok to use instead of the Cat5e called out in the instructions? (difference is Cat6 has slightly heaver gage wire)

    Cat6 can be used for the I2000 system.
