Riccar is a brand of upright, canister and other portable vacuums as well central vacuums.  The company opened for business in the late 1950's in Fullerton, CA.  In 1988, Riccar was acquired by the Tacony Corporation which manufacturers vacuums in St. James, MO.  The central vacuum line was added in 2005.
