The VG-3 Electric powerhead made by Eureka has a self-adjusting design that allows the powerhead to automatically adjust for height according to carpet thickness.  It has a built-in full width headlight that makes it easier to see when cleaning in low light. The VG-3 features a steel roller brush with sealed, isolated bearings and replaceable brush strips that make the powerhead more durable and longer lasting.

The On/Off switch is located right on the powerhead.  A transparent window on the side allows the user to easily view belt condition.  Large plastic wheels help it to glide easily over carpet.

Similar versions of this powerhead were used by many companies such as Beam, Nutone, Electrolux, and others.  There are no wands included with this powerhead.

    Is this the replacement I would need for my Beam AP900/Beam Advocate?

    This VG-3 can be used to replace your Nutone 598.  You will also need our 53757 lower wand.  Your existing upper wand and hose will work.

    what power head would replace a nutone C598. ser. # 109005458?

    A:

    The recommended replacement of the Nutone 598 is the Cen-Tec CT20QD .  Your lower wand will also have to be replaced with the 36247 Lower Wand with Cord.  Your hose and upper wand will work with the new components.  Note that the Nutone CT700 is not a suitabale replacement for your 598 powerhead.

    Hi,Yes the VG3 can replace the B1396.  The VG3 has a flat belt.  The B1396 had a geared belt.It you are looking to upgrade the Cen-tec CT20QD is a better powerhead. It would require the lower wand.Sku # 53978 & 12208
