The Intrasonic RETRO MyDoor is a front door station that inlcudes a Camera that can be seen on your smart phone.  The RETRO MyDoor works with the Intasonic Technology RETRO intercom system only.  It works the same as a standard RETRO door for communication from the master, room, and patio stations.

To install the RETRO MyDoor, you must use the RETRO-MDAW which is an Adaptor plate to match up to an old Nutone, M&S, Broan, rough-in box.  The wiring from the master station connects to this adaptor plate first.  The MyDoor then connects and mounts the the RETRO MDAW plate.  The MyDoor powers through the 3-wire from the master.  The camera can be viewed using the Wifi throughout the house. 

The adjustable camera can be viewed at anytime and alerts you when the doorbell is pressed or if someone gets close to the camera.  The camera can be directed up/down side/side to work in almost all locations.  The APP for the phone is IOS(apple)/Android compatible.  

When you are alerted that someone is at your door, you can take a screen shot, record a video, and talk to them.

    Can the camera be accessed from a smartphone on demand or does the camera first have to be triggered by someone entering the door zone?

    A:

    The camera can be accessed at any time via a smart phone.

    What if my old station uses only 2 wires for the doorbell?

    A:

    This door station requires 3 or more wires.  It will not work with a 2 wire.

    When someone presses the doorbell, does it ring in all the room stations? If so, is there a way to program room stations, to not hear doorbell?

    A:

    Yes, the door stations do ring throughout the system.  The Intrasonic RETRO system has the ability to set each room to Radio/Intercom(Normal), Intercom Only, Music only, or Off.  If you put this in the music only setting or off, then no doorbell will be rang in that specific area.  If they are set this way, then you will not be able to get any intercom communication is these areas.

    Can the camera store video so that you can review it later?

    There is a spot on the back of the room station that can accept an SD card.  It would have to be removed and downloaded.

    I read that this needs a three wire system and I’m not sure if mine is two or three. Will this work to replace the doorbell with this system I am purchasing to replace my Nutone IM-4406 with the Home IntraSonic RETRO Intercom System With Bluetooth Replaces Nutone 8 Room and 1 patio system

    This MyDoor video doorbell requires 3 wires.  If your Nutone door speaker had a bell button, than you have at least 3 wires.  If your door speaker did not have a bell button, then it is possible you have only 2 wires.  You need to check it.  You will also need an adapter plate to mount on your existing rough-in box.
