The Plastiflex Round Door Inlet has a durable plastic construction and textured surface.  It accepts most universal style low voltage and straight suction central vacuum hoses.  It will not work with electrical direct connect hoses, Sears/Kenmore hoses and Budd hoses.

This inlet requires a standard mounting bracket (sold separately) for new installations.  It can also be used to replace the face of an old universal style standard inlet for a new fresh look.  It comes with screws for mounting. The door is hinged and has a rubber gasket that seals off the inlet to prevent air leak when closed.

    I have an older MD system and the oval door basic inlets are starting to break. I went to the dealer that installed it for replacement inlets, but the only ones he has in stock don't work. The problem is the low voltage pin location. They are located 1/2" (center of pin to edge of inlet) as opposed to the originals which are 1/4" (center of pin to edge of inlet). Consequently the metal contact ring on my hose doesn't close the circuit. Do you have or can you get inlets that match the originals. Thanks in advance.

    The metal contacts on these inlets are about 3/8" from the edge of the inlet.  They are a standard inlet.  Please feel free to send a pictures of your corrent inlet and hose end with a contact number and we can find the best item for you.  Please text a picture to 443-903-2225.

    I bought 2 of these and managed to misplace the screws. What size and length are the screws?

    1 1/4" or 1 1/2" work.  I believe #12 works.
