The Hose Sock has a stretchy knit construction.  This stretchy fabric allows it to fit snugly over the central vacuum hose. The hose sock is universal and can be installed on any brand central vacuum hose.  it is lightweight and adds virtually no weight to the hose.  Directions for installation are included.  A tube is also included for easy installation. 

Most vacuum hoses are made of a molded plastic material that is ribbed on the outside.  The sock provides a soft barrier between the central vacuum hose and the object being cleaned, protecting it from scratches and scuff marks.  The hose sock will also prevent the central vacuum hose from damaging molding, walls, baseboards and furniture as it is pulled around corners, down hallways and stairs.

    will this sock fit a 28 foot hose?

    Yes, this will fit a 28' hose.  It may be a little loose on the hose with some rinkles since it is not fully strecthed out.

    The sock only comes in a 30' length.  The best idea we would have is to double up 10' of hose and the beggining or end.

Very difficult to apply to the vacuum hose. If you follow the instructions, it tends to stretch so there's a lot of excess at the end. Does the job as intended, but too much of a workout to get it on the hose.
