The NuTone PP500 bagged central vacuum power unit is no longer available.  It has been replaced by the PP5501 model.

The PP500 combines powerful suction and unmatched filtration to remove dust and other allergens from your home. This series is among the quietest in the industry for peaceful cleaning with sound-absorbing materials, a rigid structure, and anti-vibration mount. The multi-direction vacuum inlet and wall mount supports allow for easy installation even in small spaces, and a six foot power cord for even more convenience.

The NuTone PP500 has a metal housing with a polymeric debris pail that features large ergonomic latches to make emptying your central vacuum easier. This unit uses a disposable bag that’s recommended to be changed out about every six months.

    I have a VX475 that has died... The "3rd" one..... The PP500 is the replacement. Will I have to change "hook ups" or are they basically the same? Understand it is a 110Volt Unit but the Piping or Plumbing is my concern.

    A:

    Where the piping goes into the unit will vary slightly.  If you call in to place an order, we can over over VX475 replacement options along with provide you with a piping replacement kit.

    Hi, I have a CV 353w that this is the replacement for, do I have any issues regarding hooking up to existing PVC piping for intake and exhaust?

    A:

    The CV353 can be replaced with multiple units.  No matter which unit you install in its place, you have to modify the piping.  The Nutone PP500 has a much small motor inside compared to the CV353.  The price point on the machines are great, but they will not last like your old unit.  The better replacement unit would be the Valet AT-120 unit.  If you call and place the order, we can include a piping replacement kit which includes a 5' of pipe and some elbows.  Square footage can be a factor as well, so please feel free to call in and discuss.
