  A:

  The product is approximately 12"wide by 5"tall.  This cone is designed to help filter the cyclonic filtration for the Vacumaid units.  It fits in a small bead just above where the dirt can and main canister separate from each other.

  I have an older Vacumaid system and am not sure if I am supposed to have 2 of these installed in my unit? I have 1 at the top near the motor and 1 lower between 2 metal ribs in the can. Both move around freely now and are always out of place when I go to empty my can. Should I order 1 or do I need 2 in my unit?

  A:

  Two are required in the unit to create the cyclone that drops most of the debris in the can.  The one at the top should be metal and permanently installed.  The one in the bottom is plastic and is removable.  If it will not stay in place, then it could be malformed.  A new one should be tight.
