  I am interested in an indoor/outdoor intercom system. The door to my house does not have a porch overhang. The speaker will be fully exposed to the elements. Will the system withstand that type of abuse?

  A:

  The speakers are rated for outdoor use and are considered weather proof.  Over time outdoor units are subject to fail to to weather.  A Lot of factors can increase or decrease lifespan such as location of house and which direction precip. comes from, how often precip. happens, etc.

  Will this door bell work with the Nutone IM-4006 Intercom System???

  A:

  It will, however you will need a new updated surface box (if it stick out from the wall 2") or a new update frame (if it is flush and sticks out only 1/2").

  Any Nutone IM series intercom door station requires a retrofit frame if is recessed, or a surface mount box if it sticks out from the wall about 2".

  These can work with the system but will require an update frame or new surface mount box.

  Yes, but you will either need a new surface mount box (if the unit stick out from the wall 2 inches), or an update frame (if the station currently sticks out a 1/2 inch).

  Will the NuTone NDB300WH work with the NuTone IM-4406 Intercom Model?

  A:

  Yes the NDB300WH door speaker will work with the IM-4406 master.  You will need to purchase a NF300DWH frame if your current speaker is recessed or a NES300DWH if your current speaker is surface mounted.

  Yes this speaker will work the the M&S N300 series intercom.  Update frames are not require with the Music and Sound series door stations

  I have a model 300/350. I need to replace the boor bell and intercom. What is the appropriate replacement part? Do you also sell just a door bell replacement. We never use the intercom. Thanks. Larry

  A:

  Larry the door bell and speaker are sold as one.  The 300/350 model is a M&S and it is best to use their door stations.
