The Nutone 4406 series intercoms have been discontinued.  They can be replaced by the Nutone NM200, the M&S DMC1 or the Intrasonic RETRO models.  All components of the system need to be replaced.  The existing wiring can be used.  Click here to view complete kits for these models.

    Bought new home ,has this system in it.It is working fine except the time is blinking and can't find knob to fix time.have no instructions.

    A:

    The buttons to change the time are in the bottom right lower door.  There is a time set button along with min and hour functions.

    Can the master unit be repaired,everything works but the CD player

    Unfortunately, this unit cannot be repaired as well as parts are not available and you would need to swap out all the components.

    we have a house with this system in it but it stopped working. The main panel is lit which means its powered but is just blank. Can we replace the main panel without replacing wiring and other units?

    A:

    The new Nutone intercom systems are not compatible with the old room units.  This is the case for any system that you replace you current Nutone intercom system with.  We offer kits as a starter package and we can build them custom to fit you system.  You system can use the Nutone NM200 or the Intrasonic RETRO as a replacement.

    What does. IU on display mean???

    A:

    There is an error with the system.  Likely a defective master station.  You can confirm by disconnecting all ribbon wires behind the master.  If it still says IU then it is a defective master.  There are no repair parts for these master stations.  You have to look at updating the intercom system.  The Intrasonic RETRO system is a good place to start.  It can be customized as needed.
