    can this be used to fix Nutone VX550 Central Vacuum

    A:

    The power unit type does not have any bearing on the hose that is being used with the system.  A lot of Nutone hoses use this switch made by plastiflex.  Please compare pictures before ordering and feel free to call and talk with a technician over the phone.

    Do you need the male plug on the hose going into the wall or from the power head?  If you need the one coming from the hose, see this repair kit.  If you need the one from the power head, it will depend upon which model you have.

Parts worked fine and have restored the vacuum hose to like new operation. Would have liked some installation instructions to make sure I was doing it correctly.
