The Chameleon retractable hose works only with Chameleon inlets. It does not have a protective sock. The hose is stored in the vacuum pipe. To vacuum, the hose is pulled out of the inlet and locked. Once vacuuming is complete, the hose retracts into the pipe by turning on the vacuum and sealing off the hose end. Once the hose retracts fully into the inlet, the switch is automatically turned off to shut off the system.
Chameleon hoses are available in 30, 40, 50 and 60 foot lengths. The hose with the protective sock is available here.
