The Beam RP350 045389 Rug Master Plus Powerhead features large rubber on plastic rear wheels and front guide wheels. This allows for smooth movement, protection of hard surfaces from scuffing and scratching, and easy operation. This powerhead is self-adjusting. The floating head design allows the powerhead to adjust automatically to any carpet height during use. The incandescent, full length headlamp makes cleaning in low lighting simple.

The Beam Rug Master Plus Electric Powerhead features a metal roller brush, an easy view belt window, and a basic flat belt system. This powerhead must be used with a control hose with an on/off switch.

    For an identical replacement, please see the Eureka VG-3.  For a better powerhead with a cogged,geared belt, you may want to look into the Wessel Werk EBK360 or Sebo ET-1 powerheads.  These are designed much better with a belt that will not stretch.  These may or may not fit with your current hose.  Please feel free to call in to discuss.

    Will this powerhead work as a replacement head for model number BM1372, Type AA?

    This powerhead is the correct replacement for the BM1372.  The same powerhead can be found from the manufacturer, but not with the BEAM name on it.  It goes by Eureka VG-3.  Both new powerheads have a 2-prong connection at the end of the cord.  They will still fit into the cord management clip in the wand.

    Will this powerhead fit my older system (tank says mod. 189D) and hose with 3-prong plug? And does it come with cord as picture does not show wiring?

    A:

    The central vac unit model does not have any bearing on the powerhead type.  The rugmaster plus was a very popular head.  The new heads do come with a 2 prong cord.  The cord will snap into the top wand and still will be able to plug into the hose handle.

    It can, but they have been on back order for 3-4 months.  You can also use the Wessel Werk EBK 361
