The Vacu-Maid PF223 plaster guard prevents joint compound from getting into the short elbow attached to the Vacu-Maid mounting plate. It also helps prevent drywall from being installed over top of the inlet rough-in. This plaster guard is only used with the SF290 mounting plate.
