  What kind of wire is used to install the NM System? (ie....Cat 5, 4 pair stranded) Does the door station use the same wire?

  A:

  Cat 5 should be used for all locations and home run back to the master housing.  The master housing comes with a 4 conductor shielded wire for the door station, however, Cat 5 can be used for this as well.
